New Interview: Kellan Talks about Expendables 3

Kellan Lutz has revealed starring alongside Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham in The Expendables 3 was a "dream job".

The 28-year-old, who played vampire Emmett Cullen in the Twilight films, got to work with the stars in the upcoming third instalment of the action-packed franchise, to be released in 2014.

"I got to work with all my heroes. I love action movies so working with Sly, Statham, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Arnold, Harrison Ford - what a dream job," he said.

"We were all in a helicopter with everyone piled in and I thought, 'When will this happen again?' And Arnold had his tag line, 'Get to the chopper!' Everyone loved being there, everyone was so much fun to work with."

Kellan plays a character known as Smilee and joked his name doesn't reflect his true nature.

" Smilee doesn't smile, that's for sure," he quipped. " My character is the leader of the young Expendables - Sly has to recruit some younger guns because the older guys are showing some wear and tear."

The actor hailed Jason as a real-life hero after his truck rolled into the Black Sea as they filmed in Bulgaria.

"Jason's a beast. He's a stuntman so he knows how to take care of himself," he recalled. "He went into saviour mode and wanted to take care of everyone. He wasn't concerned about himself. Hats off to Jason."

Kellan also described Mel Gibson as a "genius", saying: "I had a scene with him and he is just the genius to work with. I've been a huge fan of him.

"For Hercules, I watched Braveheart every single day on set because he had some of the most epic battle scenes and battle yells so it was fun talking to him about that."

Kellan Talks about Twilight and Hercules in New Interview with Access Hollywood (November 25, 2013)

Could “The Twilight Saga” fans ever imagine Kristen Stewart pining away for an Edward Cullen played by Kellan Lutz – because the actor was sought after for the role played by Robert Pattinson, but turned it down.

“The role just didn’t… I just didn’t care to entertain it,” Kellan said on Monday’s Access Hollywood Live.

“I really wanted to play a happy role or no role for a little bit,” he told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, explaining that his role in “Generation Kill” left him wanting something more upbeat.

“I didn’t care to audition for [the role of Edward] because he was a bit moody and emotionally challenged,” the 28-year-old, who played Edward’s brother, Emmett Cullen, in the series, continued.

“But then I loved Emmett… I’m so blessed to have been able to play him,” he said.

And Kellan is open to playing a vampire yet again – if another movie were to ever happen.

“I love everyone. I loved to work with everyone and I loved my role,” he explained. “I’d love to play Emmett again or even another role in it.”

First up, fans will see Kellan play a demigod in “Hercules: The Legend Begins,” something he physically worked hard to accomplish in way you might not expect.

“I pushed myself. I’m a bigger guy by nature and [director Renny Harlin] wanted me trimmed down,” he told Billy and Kit.

Kellan explained that his take on the beloved mythology character will have a different spin than the Dwayane Johnson project about the same character.

“The Rock is doing Hercules [too]. I love the Rock. He’s naturally big and strong and he has amazing DNA,” he said. “And for me, I couldn’t get that big and thank God [the director] said, ‘I don’t want you that big.’”

“Hercules: The Legend Begins” opens on January 10, 2014.

New Balenciaga Fragrance 'Rosabotanica'

French couture house Balenciaga has launched feminine fragrance Rosabotanica, a follow up to last year’s Florabotanica.

Once again created by Olivier Polge and Jean-Christophe Herault of IFF, it has head notes of blue hyacinth, fig leaf and petitgrain, heart notes of rose, grapefruit, cardamom and pink pepper and base notes of white amber, cedar, vetiver, patchouli and a “clean woods” accord. It comes in the same rectangular bottle as Florabotanica, decorated with 17th century-style florals in tropical shades of magenta, yellow and blue and featuring the same tall, black and white striped cylindrical cap as was seen on Florabotanica. The outer packaging features the same florals. The fragrance will be available in perfumeries and selected Balenciaga outlets.

It can be pre-ordered now at Neiman Marcus, at a cost of $100 for a 50ml EDP. In Europe, the fragrance will cost €53 for 30ml, €75 for 50ml and €105 for 100ml. The perfume will be publicised by actress Kristen Stewart of the Twilight film franchise, in an ad campaign shot by British photographer Craig McDean. The campaign will roll out on a country-by-country basis depending on orders. Rosabotanica is Balenciaga’s 23rd fragrance since its launch of Le Dix in 1947. The brand’s fragrance licence is held by Coty.

Oder Rosabotanica Fragrance from Neiman Marcus 3.4oz - 1.7oz

Rosabotanica, the second rose in the enchanted garden. The fragrance unveils a fresher territory, with a sheer, enveloping second skin character.

Floral; A bright and spicy rose. The fragrance opens with crystalline floral accents of hyacinth and creamy green notes of fig leaf, refreshed by the natural green character of petitgrain.

The experimental rose offers bright vegetal notes while sparkling, slightly bitter drops of grapefruit and fresh spicy notes of pink pepper and cardamom enhance its personality.

The white, amber dry-down is cleared by a structure of vibrant and luminous white woods, made of cedar wood, vetiver and patchouli with clean woody notes.

'Zombie Hamlet' DVD Release Date December 31st

“Is this the end of zombie Shakespeare?” It would appear not, as John Murlowski’s comedy Zombie Hamlet makes its way onto DVD on December 31st. Written by John McKinney and with original music by Jackson Rathbone, whom you might remember from Twilight or, if you’re too ashamed to admit you knew that, the indie horror flick Dread.
The film stars Travis Wester, Jason Mewes, Shelley Long, Vanessa Lee Evigan, John Amos, and June Lockhart.

Zombie Hamlet tells the story of first-time film director, Osric Taylor (Travis Wester), as he finally manages to get his dream movie financed. He envisions Shakespeare's Hamlet set against the epic backdrop of the American Civil War. Osric heads to a small Louisiana town to start filming when his production funding unexpectedly dries up. With no other options, he agrees to accept southern matron Hester Beauchamp's offer to finance his movie, as long as he throws some zombies into the film to attract a wider audience. When Hester suddenly dies mid-shoot, and with the local sheriff and ambitious news reporter Shine Reynolds (Shelley Long) hot on his trail, Osric is thrust into one precarious and hilarious situation after another in a desperate attempt to keep “Zombie Hamlet” alive.

Level 33 Entertainment is behind the exclusive DVD release, which will be made available on Amazon.com at an SRP of $14.99, and for rent at rental outlets (but not Blockbuster; indie all the way).

New Tarzan 3D Trailer

An all-new German-language trailer has been released for Constantin Film’s animated 3D-fest TARZAN. The American-German-French film is currently screening in Germany and Russia and is set to release elsewhere in 2014.

Unfortunately for non-German speakers, this new trailer does not feature subtitles, but it still gives audiences a good impression of the film. Hopefully an English-language version will be released in the near future for this version.
